Winter brings some strange elements to the islands. For example, early in December everyone here was buzzing because the surf was building and it looked like the Eddie Aikau tournament would be held at Waimea Bay. Big waves, insane surfers and tons of people swamped the North Shore for two epic days.

Meanwhile back down south our crew has been diving at fever pitch. So many folks visiting for the holidays and whales have been making their appearances almost daily. From massive spouts to spys and full breaches our Humpbacks are always showing off. Now when the south winds blow our water is rough up top..... not the case underneath.
